Upholding values and connections after a Cara y Corazon Training/workshop series in your community:
The Comadre and Compadre support group is run totally by the parents. The group meets weekly, usually in one of the participant’s home. The group is much more informal than a support group and may revolve around an activity such as a family reunion where traditional foods are being prepared, meals, woodworking, crafts, or card games. Other persons may be invited to the gathering.
Facilitators of Face and Heart/Cara y Corazón or the support groups can serve as guides or support for the Comadre/Compadre support group.
